A bilateral workshop on "Scenario Planning for Climate Adaptation" in the Rio Grande-Rio Bravo region will take place September 10-11, 2014 at the U.S. International Boundary and Water Commission in El Paso,Texas.

NOAA's Climate Program Office (CPO) is announcing the Federal Funding Opportunity for Fiscal Year 2015. Pending final budget appropriations, CPO expects approximately $15.5 million will be available through the announcement, and anticipates nearly 100 new awards  between $50,000 to $200,000 each, with multi-year RISA awards ranging from $600,000 to $700,000 per year.

New bilateral climate impact and outlook report for Rio Grande-Rio Bravo region

The second edition of a quarterly Rio Grande/Rio Bravo (RGB) Climate Impacts and Outlook report has been released for Spring 2014. Led by the Climate Assessment of the Southwest (CLIMAS) and prepared as part of the RGB regional pilot project for the North American Climate Services Partnership (NACSP), this quarterly publication synthesizes recent, current, and near-term forecasted conditions on both sides of the U.S. and Mexico borders.

The NACSP is an innovative trilateral partnership between the U.S., Mexico and Canada. This partnership was established to respond to an increasing demand for accessible and timely scientific data and information in order to make informed decisions and build resilience in our communities.
