NIDIS to co-host Southwest Drought and Human Health Workshop

From February 26 to 27, CPO’s National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS) will co-host the Southwest Drought and Human Health Workshop. The workshop will be tailored around regional drought-related human health impacts, and help identify gaps and needs, collaborative opportunities, and ways to integrate the health sector into the Drought Early Warning System. Co-hosted with the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the University of Arizona Center for Climate Adaptation Science and Solutions, the workshop will bring together state and local public health departments, climate scientists, emergency managers, tribal communities, and healthcare providers. The workshop will take place at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
