New Profile of NOAA Scientist and Former CPO Knauss Fellow Shae Green

This week, Climate.gov published an in-depth profile of Dr. Shadaesha “Shae” Green, current NOAA Office of Education program specialist and former Knauss Fellow supporting the Climate Program Office. 

For Bronx native Shae Green, going to college and getting a PhD in marine biology depended on finding the right mentors at the right time.

Now, at the Office of Education, Shae applies her experience with mentorship and scholarships to help the cause of NOAA science education. “I have a responsibility,” she says, “to give what I’ve received as far as the mentorship that I’ve had. Even if it’s one person. To show someone that there is more out there than they realize.”
