NOAA Fisheries/OAR Climate Program Office's CAFA Program Letters of Intent Info Session/Q&A for FY23 Competition

The Climate and Fisheries Adaptation Program (CAFA), a partnership program between NOAA Research’s Climate Program Office and NOAA Fisheries Office of Science and Technology, is hosting a virtual information session on August 23, 2022 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. ET focusing on the Letters of Intent (LOI) phase for the Climate Program Office’s  FY23 research funding opportunity (Competition #6). The CAFA Program is accepting proposals to address either of two priority research topics:

  • Advancing multidisciplinary systems to evaluate strategies that promote resilience and adaptation of fish stocks, fisheries, and fishing  communities (Type A proposals)

  • Advancing understanding of and enhancing the effectiveness of locally determined adaptation planning in frontline fishing communities (Type B proposals)

This session will be held via GoToWebinar and will cover the following topics:

1. Overview of the CAFA Program and partnership

2. CAFA Competition details for FY23

3. Application process and timeline

4. Letters of Intent (LOIs) basics

5. Q&A session
