CEE’s Frank Niepold to deliver a keynote address at the 27th Annual Weather, Water, and Climate Symposium at Ohio State

On Friday February 10, 2023, CEE’s Frank Niepold will be delivering the keynote address at Ohio State’s 27th Annual Weather, Water, and Climate Symposium. The presentation, titled ‘Case for Accelerating Climate Action through Engagement and Capacity Building: 27th Annual Weather, Water, and Climate Symposium at Ohio State’, will touch on how improving climate literacy, workforce capacity and community engagement are key to mobilizing action on climate at federal and community levels.

In addition to his address at the symposium, Frank will be meeting with Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center’s Education & Outreach Director, Jason Cervenec, and the center’s Weather & Climate Services Program Coordinator, Geddy Davis. He will offer opening comments for a small group discussion centered around enhancing and coordinating climate education and workforce development with key stakeholders. These meetings were convened by the Ohio State’s Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center to explore ways to support Columbus Ohio’s Climate Action Plan.
