CPO highlights milestones and achievements in 2015 Annual Report

NOAA's Climate Program Office released its FY15 Annual Report on March 11, 2016. The report gives an overview of CPO's achievements  in FY15 and highlights the great work done by the Office's Divisions and Programs to advance scientific understanding of climate and improve society's ability to plan and respond to a changing climate.

A recently published and thorough review of the current state of scientific knowledge regarding the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) has been published in Reviews of Geophysics.This effort was supported by CPO's Climate Variability and Predictability (CVP) and Modeling, Analysis, Prediction, and Projections (MAPP) programs.

A new CVP-supported paper published in the Journal of Geophysical Research explores variability in ocean salinity and how that variability is connected to air-sea interactions, large-scale ocean circulations, and climate phenomena such as the MJO and ENSO.
