Researchers from the Carolinas Collaborative on Climate, Health, and Equity (C3HE), a NOAA CAP/RISA team, participated in PBS NC’s State of Change series and premiere event at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. The series is a statewide deep-dive on North Carolina’s changing climate with stories on ecosystem management, sea level rise, and other topics. C3HE researchers Dr. Miyuki Hino (UNC), Dr. Kathie Dello (NC State), and Max Cawley (NC Museum of Life and Science) provided expertise on sunny day flooding in eastern NC and urban heat in Raleigh and Durham. Drs. Hino and Dello participated in the live premier event & panel with NC’s Chief Resilience Officer, Dr. Amanda Martin. The museum event was PBS NC’s most attended premiere.
