SCIPP RISA highlighted in speech on Senate floor

On September 10, 2015, in one of Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse's (D-RI) weekly speeches about climate, the Senator discussed climate impacts and research in the Gulf of Mexico region and in particular highlighted the research conducted by the Southern Climate Impacts Planning Program, a NOAA RISA team.

In the speech, Whitehouse quotes from the 2012 study "Impacts and Adaptation Options in the Gulf Coast" and from study lead author and SCIPP Program Manager, Dr. Hal Needham.
