The U.S. Global Change Research Program, supported by the CPO/CEE division, is closing a robust public comment period and moving to the federal writing team to update the 2009 Climate Literacy Guide.

This meeting is part of the beginning of DOT engaging with NIHHIS and working more closely with NOAA on climate tools and resources for heat resilience.

In March (and the beginning of April) 2023, CPO held an interview campaign that highlighted seven CPO staff scientists and CPO-funded scientists for Women’s History Month.

The award winning, NOAA-created, Washington D.C. Urban Heat Island Virtual Reality application brought together a multi-LO team to produce a cutting edge new application to teach people about urban heat in a novel format, reaching audiences at the UNFCCC COP, AMS Annual, AGU Fall, and Esri Fed GIS conferences.
