This effort, jointly supported by IRAP and RISA, explores the nexus of climate change, health, and migration in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and provides a better understanding of these relationships to inform research and policy agendas that build resilience and adaptive capacity at home and abroad.

The study, published in the Journal of Frontiers in Climate, provided results that are transferable to other regions and scales. Sustained and collaborative regional climate assessments like this one can serve a key function in complementing major national and international assessments, by translating and more effectively targeting information to meet local needs in support of regional climate adaptation and policy making.

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments (MARISA) Seasonal Climate Impacts Summary and Outlook is a quarterly series specifically designed to support policymakers, practitioners, residents, and community leaders in the Mid-Atlantic by serving as a data and information resource that is tailored to the region.

RISA organized a panel and a poster session at the Global Council for Science and the Environment 2022 Annual Conference which took place virtually from June 21-24th. The sessions explored examples of transformative change that RISA teams have accomplished in their regions, as well as some of the recent innovative approaches RISA has taken to address climate adaptation.

ACCAP maintains an ongoing relationship with rural Alaska communities, serving as an important resource for climate information when it is needed the most.
