CPO’s Adaptation Sciences Program will support NOAA Administrator Dr. Rick Spinrad’s participation in an event on international partnerships for blue carbon at COP27.
A new article, published by an interdisciplinary and international team of researchers supported by CPO’s International Research and Applications Project (IRAP), focuses on heat in the aftermath of tropical cyclones in the Caribbean.
The report, titled “Showcasing Leading Practices in Climate Adaptation”, fosters collaboration on goals of building resilience and adaptation.
Approximately $11.1 million will be available in FY23 to start new awards in about six different topic areas, pending budget appropriations.
Through this partnership with the Local2030 Islands Network, NOAA is advancing a whole-of-government approach to supporting adaptation and resilience for island nations.
