Ned Gardiner from CPO’s CEE team will be contributing to a NWS-wide conversation on building a "Climate-Ready Nation", in advance of the NWS meeting this summer.
On April 8, Gardiner presented on The Climate Resilience Toolkit Steps to Resilience Framework for FEMA Region 8, helping to bring climate information to communities in need of hazard mitigation assistance, planning support, and to forward deploy resources where they are most needed.
CPO’s participation in this April 20 event will help build governors' staff understanding of how to use climate information in building resilience.
Next week’s conference will address ways to build capacity to climate crisis and other challenges through productive civic engagement at the scale necessary for a genuinely democratic response across our cities and regions, coastal communities and Western landscapes.
Shae Green shares about her mentors in science, the challenges of pursuing a PhD, and growing up in the Bronx.
