Climate Explorer nominated for Best Visual Design/Function in the annual Webby Awards

VOTING CLOSED APRIL 20

The International Academy of the Digital Arts & Sciences has chosen NOAA’s Climate Explorer as one of five nominees for Best Visual Design/Function in the annual Webby Awards for online excellence. Part of the U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit, the Climate Explorer offers climate maps, graphs, and data tables for every county in the contiguous United States. Searchable by zip code, the web-based app lets users check historical conditions over the past six decades and explore possible future changes over the next eight decades.

As a nominee, the Climate Explorer is also entered in the Webby Awards People's Voice awards, decided by popular vote.

The U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit and Climate Explorer are managed by NOAA’s Climate Program Office and hosted by NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information. The tool was built by NOAA, U.S. Geological Survey, Bureau of Reclamation, Environmental Protection Agency, and NASA.
