Development of the Fourth National Climate Assessment (NCA4) is underway, and on behalf of the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP), NOAA is soliciting nominations for authors and technical inputs.
Nominees will be selected as regional and sectoral chapter lead authors and as contributing authors with relevant expertise. NOAA is seeking technical inputs on sectoral, regional, and cross-cutting topics that will provide resources for NCA4 and special assessments.
National Climate Assessments (NCA) analyze historical trends and anticipate future trends in Earth’s climate over the next 25 to 100 years. These assessments highlight key findings about climate change impacts and vulnerability, covering sectors such as agriculture, transportation, and human health, as well as different geographical regions across the U.S.
• Author nominations must be submitted by September 30, 2016.
• All technical inputs must be submitted by January 15, 2017. (To provide author teams more time to consider inputs, please submit by November 1, 2016.)
