Wanda I. Crespo Acevedo, Climate Adaptation Program Specialist in support of the NOAA-RISA Program in Puerto Rico, to present to FEMA on Puerto Rico’s Recovery and the Climate Crisis

Wanda I. Crespo-Acevedo, Climate Adaptation Program Specialist in support of the NOAA-RISA Program in Puerto Rico, will be hosting a webinar for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) staff in Puerto Rico on August 24th, 2022. This webinar will present climate science information and its implications for Puerto Rico, and potential mitigation and adaptation strategies. It is part of the FEMA Puerto Rico Joint Recovery Office (JRO) efforts to increase the capacities of the agency's staff to address the challenges associated with the climate crisis as part of the Hurricane’s Irma and María recovery efforts. Wanda will be joined by co-presenter Dr. Pablo Méndez Lazaro, the chapter lead for the 5th US Caribbean National Climate Assessment.
