On Thursday, January 19, the Climate Mapping for Resilience and Adaptation (CMRA) Portal team will host a webinar demonstrating the CMRA Portal and Assessment Tool. This web-based tool, developed by Esri, is the result of a collaborative effort between the White House, NOAA, and the Department of the Interior.

CMRA helps communities recognize and document their exposure to climate-related hazards both present and future. The tool can help community organizations and federal, state, local, and tribal governments begin developing equitable climate resilience plans and making climate-smart investments.

Webinar participants will learn how to check current and future exposure to common climate hazards, generate local Hazard Reports to support Federal grant applications, and identify communities that can benefit from investments through the Justice40 Initiative.

Webinar presenters include:

  • Ben Preston, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy
  • David Herring, NOAA Climate Program Office
  • Kim Valentine, NOAA Geospatial Information Officer
  • Dan Pisut, Esri, Environmental Content Lead
