The National Integrated Drought Information System will host an upcoming webinar and just released a webinar recording that discuss recent research which shows that anthropogenic warming is leading to an emerging megadrought in southwestern North America.
The webinars will provide the region's stakeholders and interested parties with timely information on current and developing climate conditions such as drought, floods and tropical storms, as well as climatic events like El Niño and La Niña.
The purpose of the workshop was to review climate events and impacts of the 2019 water year, provide forecast information for the upcoming water year, and learn about new resources on drought and climate variability.
