Showcasing the Heat.gov portal, housed under NOAA's CPO, provides a one-stop hub on heat and health for the U.S. and is a priority of President Biden’s National Climate Task Force and its Interagency Working Group on Extreme Heat. 

The Urban Heat Island Mapping Campaign program is a signature program of NIHHIS, and the results from the mapping campaigns can be used to inform decision makers and implement cooling solutions across the US.
