Judah Cohen, MAPP-funded researcher and director of seasonal forecasting for Atmospheric and Environmental Research (AER), a Verisk Analytics company, was featured in a Q&A post on the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang blog. In the article, Cohen relates the amount of snow cover and its rate of advance in Siberia in October to temperatures during winter in North America.
