The NOAA Climate and Global Change Postdoctoral Fellowship Program is now seeking applicants to grow the next generation of climate experts. Sponsored by CPO and founded by former CPO Director, Dr. J. Michael Hall, the program appoints fellows that are hosted by a mentoring scientist at a U.S. university or research institution to work in an area of mutual interest. The fellows focus on observing, understanding, modeling, and predicting climate variability and change on seasonal and longer time scales. This includes documenting and analyzing past, current, or possible future climate variability and change, as well as studying the underlying physical, chemical, and biological processes. Over the past 30 years, the fellowship program has hosted 230 fellows and has developed an outstanding reputation of attracting the best and brightest PhDs in the sciences relevant to CPO’s mission.
Deadline: January 10, 2020.
