The Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Global School joins partnership to co-create the Caribbean Climate Adaptation Network (CCAN), a NOAA CAP/RISA team. The Global School as WPI uses a multidisciplinary approach to bring together students and faculty from different fields and community partners for collaborative work on global development and community climate adaptation. Both undergraduate and graduate students at WPI will work with the CCAN leadership team to implement a process to support how decisions are made about climate risk management and adaptation. This work will include partnerships with local non-profit and community-based organizations to form projects such as creating a community-based monitoring system and developing citizen science programs.
