RISA Teams Lead Project to Make 60 Gulf Coast Communities More Resilient to Extreme Events

The 3-year project will use different technology-assisted communication methods (e.g., webinar) to work with communities throughout Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas to assess their vulnerability to storm events and help integrate adaptation practices into existing planning processes.

Urban Northeast RISA to host seminar: Environmental Justice Research and Action—Examples from a Community-University Relationship in Massachusetts

The April 7th event will welcome Dr. Patricia Fabian and Dr. Madeleine Scammell of the Boston University School of Public Health, and Roseann Bongiovanni, Executive Director of GreenRoots, a Chelsea-based environmental justice organization, who will discuss C-HEAT: a collaborative study of heat exposure in Chelsea and East Boston, Massachusetts.
