Last year, the U.S. launched the President’s Emergency Plan for Adaptation and Resilience, or PREPARE. NOAA’s contributions to the PREPARE initiative were highlighted at the recent COP27 in Egypt.

Ms. Moehlenkamp attended the Palau Indigenous Knowledge Exchange to participate in traditional forms of aquaculture and navigation, exploring Indigenous coastal solutions to climate change mitigation, adaptation, resilience, and building alliances for a united Pacific.

RISA organized a panel and a poster session at the Global Council for Science and the Environment 2022 Annual Conference which took place virtually from June 21-24th. The sessions explored examples of transformative change that RISA teams have accomplished in their regions, as well as some of the recent innovative approaches RISA has taken to address climate adaptation.
