Climate Change and Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems in the Coastal Carolinas

This project aims to understand the impact of climate change on onsite wastewater treatment systems. The intent is to help coastal communities to cost-effectively and legally implement climate adaptation plans for wastewater infrastructure. Alternative wastewater technologies were evaluated for their removal of three pollutants: fecal bacteria, phosphorus, and nitrogen.
