Registration is open for NOAA’s 28th Climate Diagnostics and Prediction Workshop

NOAA’s 28th Climate Diagnostics and Prediction Workshop is scheduled for Oct. 21 – 25 in College Park, Md. at the new NOAA Center for Weather and Climate Prediction building.
The objective of the workshop is to accelerate improvements in NOAA operational products and datasets, and delivery of climate information by bringing together NCEP and the broader climate community to address a variety of relevant themes, including: exploring sources of predictability on intra-seasonal to interannual time scales and developing applications that enhance NOAA climate services by improving understanding of user needs and delivering the best available climate information, among others.
The workshop will be hosted by the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) of National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) and the Cooperative Institute for Climate and Satelliters (CICS) of the University of Marylandl and co-sponsored by NOAA’s Climate Program Office Modeling, Analysis, Predictions and Projections (MAPP) program, and the Climate Services Division (CSD) of the National Weather Service (NWS).
