MAPP Webinar Series: MAPP/CSI Webinar: Drought: Research and Information Supporting Preparedness

The NOAA CPO Modeling, Analysis, Prediction, and Projections program hosted a webinar jointly with the Climate and Societal Interactions Division on the research and information supporting drought preparedness, Friday, November 22, 2013. The webinar will explore drought research, how that research supports activities and capabilities in the user/decision maker communities, and how drought impacts and risks feed back into research directions.

Presentation of a NIDIS/DTF Report on the Origins of the 2012 Central Great Plains Drought

There will be a virtual briefing to present the findings of this report on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 11 AM – 12 PM ET. The briefing will also include a short introduction providing context for how Drought Task Force research efforts, as part of OAR’s Climate Program Office, help to achieve NIDIS program goals.
