CCRUN, a NOAA CAP/RISA team, presents a webinar titled “New York City Panel on Climate Change: Health and Energy Implications of Climate Change in NYC”

On March 6th, at 4 PM EST, the Consortium for Climate Risk in the Urban Northeast’s (CCRUN), a NOAA CAP/RISA team, will present a webinar titled “New York City Panel on Climate Change: Health and Energy Implications of Climate Change in NYC.” The webinar is part of their monthly Green Infrastructure, Climate, and Cities Seminar Series. Members of the New York City Panel on Climate Change (NPCC) are invited to introduce each major chapter of its upcoming assessment, its key messages and implications for NY. The NPCC is New York City’s independent advisory body that synthesizes scientific information on climate change to inform City policy. Formed in 2009 and codified in Local Law 42 of 2012, NPCC’s mandate is to provide an authoritative and actionable source of scientific information on future climate change and its potential impacts. NPCC4, the fourth assessment since inception, will be published in 2024.
