On May 3rd, CEE’s Frank Niepold will be speaking on a panel at the 2024 Environmental and Climate Change Literacy Projects (ECCLPs) Annual Forum Symposium. His talk is titled “Looking Back and Forward to the Next Decade of Accelerating Climate Action Through Climate Literacy.” This presentation will explore the ways the 2009 Climate Literacy Guide helped to build a climate literate world and how the new update can guide the next decade of efforts to build capacity and increasing communities climate literacy for a whole-of-society response to the climate crisis. The Climate Literacy guide presents key information for individuals and communities to know and understand about Earth’s climate, impacts of climate change, and approaches to adaptation and mitigation.
