CPO staff attend 1st Meeting of the Tropical Pacific Observing System (TPOS 2020) Steering Committee

The Climate Program Office’s David Legler and Kathy Tedesco attended the First Meeting of the Tropical Pacific Observing System (TPOS 2020) Steering Committee in Ansan, Korea.

The TPOS 2020 Project was established to address observing needs in the Tropical Pacific with the aim to oversee the transition of the present observing system to an integrated and more robust and sustainable system through the year 2020 and beyond.
The TPOS 2020 Steering Committee met in Ansan, Korea, from October 6-9, 2014, and was hosted by the Korean Institute of Ocean Science and Technology (KIOST).
