CPO’s Annarita Mariotti participated as a guest on an episode of NPR’s podcast “Short Wave,” a series of short podcasts about life sciences. The episode detailed the scientific work of Eunice Newton Foote, who conducted experiments that are essential to our understanding of greenhouse gasses. Annarita explained the science of Eunice’s experiments, what was new and significant about her research, and how it is still relevant today. Annarita had previously collaborated on a feature about Eunice Newton Foote that was posted on CPO’s website to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Foote’s birth.
