CEE Division Chief David Herring and Communications Specialist Amber Liggett participated in the Department of Energy’s Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) Energy Exchange 2024 Conference in Pittsburgh, PA.

On March 27, David gave an overview of the U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit, the Steps to Resilience framework, and a selection of decision-support tools during a session titled “Resilience Climate Tools.” This session explored the various White House and agency-specific tools and resources available to help identify climate hazards and plan for future resilience.

On March 28, Amber represented NOAA in the FEMP Resilience Roundtable where resilience planning experts from various agencies discussed policy and regulatory guidance, tools and information resources, and funding and performance contracting for climate resilience.

The conference provided a forum for networking among energy and water professionals to foster development and implementation of solutions that support the federal government’s goals for transitioning to a clean energy economy. Through these networking opportunities, NOAA climate resources and tools were shared with conference attendees.
