Katherine is an interdisciplinary environmental scientist interested in the sustainable and equitable management of ecosystems in the context of rapid environmental change. She is currently a NOAA Climate & Global Change Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Katherine is working with Dr. Laura Dee to improve our understanding of the linkages between forest ownership and wildfire severity, as well as the consequences of increased fire severity for forest functional trait diversity and ecosystem services across the western US.
