CPO Climate Variability & Predictability (CVP) Program Manager, Ginny Selz (based in Boulder, CO), was one of 18 graduates in the second cohort of the 18-month NOAA West Leadership Program. The graduation was held as a component of the NOAA West Regional Team Meeting April 30th – May 2nd hosted in Boulder, CO. The cohort completed a suite of classes, leadership learnings, and final capstone projects which included development of a climate action plan strategy for a NOAA campus, catalyzing connectivity across NOAA West DEIA communities, and developing awareness and coordination of wind energy work at a regional level. The cohort presented their capstones to NOAA West, toured the Boulder facility with corresponding science presentations, and participated in a service activity with CIRES.
