NIDIS director to participate in “Climate Talk” Symposium

Dr. Roger Pulwarty, director of NOAA’s National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS), is one of six experts participating sponsored by the Online Ocean Symposium and Google Hangout titled “Climate Talk.” The event is scheduled for Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. EST. The symposium will focus on the state of the climate, revelations from current data and the steps required to enact change.
Along with Pulwarty, participans include: Bill McKibeen from 350.org; James Jacobson, a data analysis from NASA’s Operation Ice Bridge; Noah Dineffenbaum, a climatologist from Stanford University; Yassir Eddebbar, climatologist and ocean scientist from Scipps Oceanography; and Kate Sheppard of Mother Jones.
