The National Coordinated Soil Moisture Monitoring System workshop, led by the National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS), was held on Nov. 13-14 in Kansas City, MO.
The report from this workshop is a deliverable under the DoC-USDA MoU and the President’s Climate Action Plan.
The National Drought Resilience Partnership was announced by the Secretary of Agriculture at the Farm Broadcasters Association meeting also in Kansas City on Nov. 15. NOAA, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other partner agencies were in attendance.
