SCIPP, a NOAA CAP/RISA team, is co-organizing the inaugural South Central Climate Resilience Forum April 2-4, 2024

Registration is open for the inaugural South Central Climate Resilience Forum (SCCRF) held from April 2-4, 2024, in Dallas, TX. The Forum, co-organized by the Southern Climate Impacts Planning Program (SCIPP) NOAA CAP/RISA team, is focused on fostering meaningful dialogue on climate resilience and adaptation across Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. It will bring together representatives from non-profit organizations, all levels of government, community groups, the private sector, and academia from across the region. The goals of the event are to improve understanding of the climate-related challenges facing the region and increase awareness of work being done to enhance the resilience of the region. The program will include presentations, symposiums, and workshops about resources, research, tools, knowledge, and experiences relating to climate resilience and opportunities for information exchange and networking. The forum will also host Dr. Katharine Hayhoe as the Keynote Speaker, the Chief Scientist for the Nature Conservancy.

The forum will take place on April 2-4, 2024, in Dallas, TX. The registration deadline is March 18, and the hotel block is open until March 21.
