Jessica Garrison (she/they) is a Program Specialist at the University Corporation of Atmospheric Research (UCAR), working as a contractor in NOAA’s Climate Program Office to support the Climate Adaptation Partnerships program. Her work focuses on providing program management support and network communication strategies. She received her B.S. in Geology from Western Kentucky University (WKU) and further studied Earth Science at Syracuse University where she worked in cryosphere sciences, including permafrost thaw and glacial runoff. Jessica’s physical science background in rural areas led to an interest in the intersection of physical and social sciences, equitable climate science, and rural community engagement.
