John Coggin holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and a master’s degree from Maryland School of Public Policy. He has worked in clean energy communications and policy in the government, nonprofit, and private sectors.
In addition to government communications, he writes biography, essays, short stories, and poetry. His first book, an authorized biography of Florida statesman Lawton Chiles, Walkin’ Lawton, was published in 2012 by Florida Historical Society. He co-manages the John Dos Passos Literary Estate and serves on the advisory board of the John Dos Passos Society.
Coggin was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, and loves the Chesapeake Bay region.
