The NOAA Sectoral Applications Research Program (SARP), US National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS), Water Research Foundation (WRF), Water Environment Federation (WEF), Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF) and American Water Works Association (AWWA) are co-hosting a monthly webinar series on “Climate Information for Managing Risks in Water Resources.” The next webinar – entitled “Planning with Communities at Risk.”- will be held on Dec. 12 at 1 p.m. EST.
The NOAA CPO Modeling, Analysis, Prediction, and Projections program hosted a webinar jointly with the Climate and Societal Interactions Division on the research and information supporting drought preparedness, Friday, November 22, 2013. The webinar will explore drought research, how that research supports activities and capabilities in the user/decision maker communities, and how drought impacts and risks feed back into research directions.
