The NOAA CPO Modeling, Analysis, Prediction, and Projections (MAPP) program hosted a webinar on the topic of Weather-Climate Linkages: Analysis, Modeling, and Prediction Efforts on Thursday, February 12, 2015. The announcement is provided below; you are invited to remotely join the session.
CPO’s Roger Pulwarty is the lead author of “Adaptation challenges in complex rivers: The Guadiana and the Colorado Basins,” which was published in the January 2015 issue of Water Resources Management.
The CPO-funded WWA RISA, in collaboration with Colorado State University, conducted a broad study of climate vulnerability for the state of Colorado. Drawing from existing data and peer-reviewed research, the study summarizes the key challenges facing seven sectors: ecosystems, water, agriculture, energy, transportation, outdoor recreation and tourism, and public health.

Research published in the Journal of Climate, “A Decadal Prediction Case Study: Late Twentieth-Century North Atlantic Ocean Heat Content,” has received the 2014 UCAR Outstanding Publication Award. This work was supported by the Climate Program Office’s Earth Systems Science (ESS) program.
