On behalf of the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP), NOAA is soliciting public comments on the draft Climate Science Special Report (CSSR).
Representatives from academia, government, and the private sector recently concluded a two day NOAA-supported workshop on improving understanding and prediction of extreme weather and climate from two weeks to a season ahead (subseasonal to seasonal). This workshop followed a kickoff meeting for a new NOAA Research-organized Subseasonal to Seasonal (S2S) Prediction Task Force.
On June 21-23, 2016, the North American Climate Services Partnership (NACSP) joined with the biennial North American Drought Monitor (NADM) Forum and annual North American Fire Forecasting Workshop to convene a joint workshop in Fort Worth, Texas, on drought, wildfire and climate services across North America.
