CCRUN, a NOAA RISA Team, hosts seminar series on urban solutions for Green Infrastructure, Climate, and Cities

The Consortium for Climate Risk in the Urban Northeast (CCRUN), a NOAA RISA team, hosts the Green Infrastructure, Climate, and Cities Seminar monthly to discuss climate extremes effects on cities and how to address them. Sea level rise, precipitation variability, and greenhouse gas emissions are some of the forefront problems facing cities that will impact the health and safety of residents.

Researchers and practitioners from around the country come and present ideas for resilient, sustainable cities. Recent Seminars have included “Climate Change and Climate Induced Conflict and Migration in Afghanistan,” “Code Red for Humanity: What the latest IPCC Report means for the CCRUN region,” and “Environmental Justice in NYC - Addressing Toxic Air Quality in North Brooklyn.”

The next seminar will take place on October 26, 2022 at 4:00 PM EST.
