SCIPP RISA releases Water Reservoir Data Visualization Tool

The Southern Climate Impacts Planning Program (SCIPP), a NOAA RISA program, released a new reservoir data visualization tool on October 26, 2015. The tool displays data for reservoirs located in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

Meetings with drought managers and planners revealed that numerous user groups desire ready access to information describing current and historical reservoir levels across the region. This information is housed in different places and managed by multiple agencies, including the US Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation, river basin management authorities, and others.

This newly-released tool creates a unified source of accessible reservoir data for that region.
