Advancing scientific understanding of climate, improving society’s ability to plan and respond
The Alaska Center for Climate Assessment and Policy (ACCAP) and the Southern Climate Impacts Planning Program, NOAA CAP/RISA teams, publish a new article examining the vulnerability of the water sector in rural, predominantly Indigenous and underserved coastal areas.
This effort supports a broader initiative between NOAA and DOS designed to bring science and stewardship to bear on island resilience, foster efforts to build a blue economy and support the President’s Emergency Plan for Adaptation and Resilience (PREPARE).
The Adaptation Sciences team will hold one virtual information session to answer questions and review the full application process.
