The participation of the CPOs Knauss Fellow Andrea Miralles-Barboza at COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt shows CPOs continued commitment to support the development of early career interdisciplinary climate professionals working at the interface of science and policy. CPO Staff Engage with Key International Partners of the U.S. Global Change Research Program

NOAA promotes cooperation on global change research and benefits from interagency and international engagement provided through USGCRP. Members of NOAA’s Climate Program Office participated in the Annual International Meeting of the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP), held over a period of three days between November 19th and December 2nd.  Wayne Higgins attended as the Chair of the Subcommittee on Global Change Research and was joined by Ben DeAngelo and Jin Huang. The meeting was convened by the USGCRP International Activities Interagency Working Group (IAIWG), co-chaired by Lisa Vaughan.
