Philip Orton, a principal investigator with NOAA CAP/RISA team Consortium for Climate Risk in the Urban Northeast (CCRUN), is a speaker at the webinar titled “Building Community Expertise: The NY/NJ USACE HATS Teach-In” hosted by Rebuild by Design. The webinar is a flood infrastructure teach-in to better understand the US Army Corps of Engineers’ proposed plan for flood protection in the New York and New Jersey region, building on the work of community organizations’ work with coastal flood infrastructure and submitted questions. The event exemplifies the model of Rebuild by Design focusing on research-based, collaborative processes to prepare communities and regions for future challenges.

The webinar is an all-day event on January 25, 2023 at 9:00 AM EST.
