NOAA RISA’s Wanda Crespo-Acevedo to present a Community-Based Climate Adaptation Toolkit at the Puerto Rico Climate Change Council XI Summit

Wanda Crespo-Acevedo, a NOAA RISA Climate Adaptation Program Specialist contracted through Lynker, will be presenting a Community-Based Climate Adaptation Toolkit at the upcoming Puerto Rico Climate Change Council (PRCCC) XI Summit to be held on March 17th, 2022. The toolkit was developed in Spanish and was prepared for the Puerto Rico Office of Coastal Management at the Department of Natural Resources.

The PRCCC will release its State of the Climate Report 2022 at the Summit. Presentations will cover updated trends and projections for atmospheric temperature, precipitation, sea level rise, sea surface temperature, ocean acidification, storms, and extreme events, as well as social-ecological vulnerabilities assessments, and adaptation strategies.
