CPO Supports Stakeholder Engagement Workshop to Develop a Research for Action on Climate Change and Health in the Caribbean

As part of an ongoing partnership in the region focused on the development of climate services for adaptation and resilience, NOAA’s Adaptation Sciences program provided funding to Blue Sky Development Consulting to support experts in the design and implementation of an assessment of the state of climate and health science, priorities, and adaptive capacity in the Caribbean.

Adaptation Sciences Program Leads U.S. Center Side Event on Islands and International Partnerships at COP27

CPO’s Adaptation Sciences Program will lead a U.S. Center side event highlighting two international partnerships, the Local2030 Islands Network and the Renewable Energy for Latin America and the Caribbean (RELAC) initiative, as well as their U.S. Federal Agency and international partners, working towards ambitious and necessary net-zero and climate resilience goals during COP27.

NOAA/CPO supports interdisciplinary research, capacity building and decision support tool development in the Caribbean

The first workshop of the NOAA International Research and Applications Project (IRAP) was held May 29-30, 2014, in conjunction with the Caribbean Regional Climate Outlook Forum (CARICOF).  The May 28 CARICOF was organized by NOAA, the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (CIMH), the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and other partners.
