ACCELS was created to provide an opportunity for CLEAN Network members and others involved in climate and energy education to gather, share and learn, and, most importantly, explore collaborations for the next year.
The CPO-funded CLEAN Program reviews climate resources to provide the most updated and rigorously reviewed educational materials for educators to build curriculum. The work of the CLEAN team is actively bridging the accessibility gap in climate and energy education.

The article “Enabling Climate and Energy Literacy: A Shared Effort” about the CLEAN collection (featured on NOAA’s Climate.gov Portal) made the front page of the September issue of the American Geophysical Union’s EOS publication.
A CLEAN manuscript has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Geoscience Education theme issue on climate literacy. In recent years various climate change education efforts have been launched, including federally (NOAA, NASA, NSF, etc.) and privately funded projects, as well as the development and deployment of the Climate and Energy Literacy frameworks, both reviewed and endorsed by the U.S. Global Change Research Program.
