CPO, GFDL and NWS representatives joined other climate modeling leaders to coordinate national goals and objectives at the ninth annual US Climate Modeling Summit workshop and meeting on April 24-26, 2023 at the NOAA/OAR Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory.
The article continues a series of interviews with NOAA Climate Program Office (CPO) employees and CPO-funded scientists in celebration of Women’s History Month. Next is Dr. Annarita Mariotti, senior advisor and scientist at CPO, and accomplished climate scientist with more than twenty years of research experience.
On January 30, 2023, Assistant Administrator (AA) for NOAA Research Dr. Steve Thur made his first visit to an OAR program office, joining CPO for a day. He enjoyed a deep dive into our program, learning why we do what we do, and how we position ourselves as team players within the rest of OAR and NOAA at large.
More than 10 research team members and interns will present on climate topics relevant to CPO’s mission at the American Geophysical Union’s Fall 2022 Meeting.
